Job Summary
Diagnose malfunctions and repair Ground Support Equipment (GSE) by studying drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical publications. Inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine serviceability, then service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air. Disassemble and assemble malfunctioning components, remove, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, and reassemble GSE accessories. Maintain equipment records, document maintenance actions, and provide dispatch service for GSE positioning to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while adhering to safety protocols, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and hazardous material disposal standards.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to speak, read and understand English
- Four (4) years of experience in inspection maintenance, repair and modification of powered ground support equipment
- Ability to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks
- Ability to clear preliminary Government security background check
- Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) which includes a 7-year background check
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Ability to possess and maintain tools required on a minimum tool listing within 30 days of hire date
- Negative pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to work in an enclosed blast/paint booth that requires the use of forced air respiration devices
- Clean shaven face (required for adequate seal and fit of forced air respirator)

- Prior GSE operator experience
