Job Summary
Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician responsible for maintenance, serviceability and positioning of GSE equipment and vehicles in the Technical Operations environment, ensuring safe, compliant operation; manages checks, inventory, documentation, and compliance with safety, airport, and regulatory procedures; maintains competency through Etihad training programs, and performs service orders and post-maintenance inspections to support aircraft operations.
Required Qualifications
- Strong AMOS background preferred with strong communication skills; minimum 2 years of airline/ MRO experience preferred.
- Trained in safety procedures and precautions when handling GSE (e.g. safety precautions when dealing with Fuel, Oil, Oxygen or Nitrogen).
- Trained in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and their crucial part in daily GSE activities.
- Holding valid UAE driving license for at least 2 years (light or heavy vehicles).
- Holding valid IPAF training certificate or license.
- Minimum of 5 years’ aviation experience including at least 2 years in a related position (GSE - Aircraft Maintenance).
- Must be able to work nights and weekends, work under stress and be able to communicate perfectly in English.
- High school leaving certificate/ Diploma is preferred with background in aircraft engineering studies.
