Job Summary

Diagnose, repair, and maintain Ground Support Equipment (GSE) using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and hand tools. Inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine serviceability, service equipment with fuel, oil, and hydraulic fluid, and disassemble malfunctioning components in accordance with technical publications. Advise and train lower-grade workers on diagnosis, approve completed maintenance actions, and use automated systems to monitor trends and document records. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, prepare equipment for storage and mobility deployment, and provide dispatch service to support aircraft operations. Maintain vehicle records, ensure good housekeeping, prevent Foreign Object Damage, and safely handle hazardous materials. Requires CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance, high school diploma, valid driver's license, and two years of experience with diesel generators and vehicles. Hourly rate of $36.67 plus overtime eligibility; benefits include health, dental, vision, paid time off, and retirement matching.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance
  • US Citizenship
  • High school graduate or have an equivalency certificate from an accredited program
  • Current valid state driver's license
  • At least two (2) years' experience working full-time on diesel generators and vehicles
  • At least one (1) year of experience on gasoline engines and vehicles
  • Proficiency in Office software applications to communicate through e-mail and various software applications
  • Ability to meet required deadlines and maintain necessary workflow
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to read and write and comprehend/interpret data
