Job Summary
Ground Software Manager leads the team responsible for the Ground Control Station (GCS) and operator-facing software, including mission planning, low-latency video, telemetry, and multi-vehicle workflows, with ownership of reliability, release cadence, and operator UX. Responsible for architecture and delivery across desktop and field/ruggedized platforms, engineering quality practices, and the team’s test strategy, partnering with the Test organization. Requires a hands-on software leader with experience in mission-critical, real-time, field-deployed software, and a track record of delivering on hard deadlines while managing people and technical direction.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Ground Control Station / UAS operator software (e.g. ATAK/TAK, QGroundControl, Mission Planner, or comparable)
- Low-latency video pipeline experience (RTSP/WebRTC/GStreamer or similar)
- Geospatial / mapping experience (offline maps, tactical overlays, terrain)
- Multi-vehicle / swarm operator UX experience
- Experience integrating with external C2 / military command systems
