Job Summary
Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic responsible for repairing and rebuilding airport service vehicles, inspecting and identifying defective parts, repairing gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Includes programming Rapid Charger and BMID, repairing tires/wheels, performing quality control checks, maintaining maintenance records, operating GSE on the ramp, and ensuring safety compliance. Requires HS diploma or GED, 3-5 years mechanical experience, US Class A license, ability to lift 70 lbs, and flexible shifts; on-site at Ontario International Airport.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years mechanical experience
- Must possess valid US Class A driver’s license
- Must pass pre-employment background, physical test and a drug screen
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70lbs
- Available for variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airport Badge
- 3-5 years mechanical experience
