Job Summary
Ground Service Equipment Mechanic responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing ground support equipment, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues with test equipment, completing work order forms, operating forklift and tow equipment, managing fluid disposal and spill cleanup, and supporting additional airport-ground operations such as fueling and deicing as needed. Requires ability to read diagrams, work under pressure, and adapt to outdoor airport environments. Must have 2+ years of GSE experience, HS diploma/ GED, and US-work authorization; tools and driving record required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Ground Service Equipment mechanic
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must pass background check
- Pre-employment drug test
- Must have valid Driver's license with a good driving record within company standards
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to read and work from diagrams
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment
- Must have own roll-a-way toolbox and meet minimum tool requirements
- 2 years related experience, Aviation experience a plus
- Paint and body experience preferred
