Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and execute Ground Segment integration, verification, and validation activities for the CRISTAL and CIMR Copernicus missions within the C3PO Ground Segment. Review requirements, specifications, and interface documentation; prepare test specifications, procedures, and reports; and maintain traceability between requirements and verification evidence. Support formal testing activities including FAT, OSAT, TRRs, and TRBs, while investigating anomalies and ensuring consistency across subsystem and end-to-end mission data processing levels. Collaborate with EUMETSAT teams and external partners to support software and hardware configuration, deployment, and integration.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
- At least 3 years of demonstrated professional experience in Systems Engineering and IV&V at System and Ground Segment level, preferably within Earth Observation
- Proven experience with Ground Segment engineering and verification
- Experience preparing and executing integration and verification activities
- Experience preparing test specifications, procedures, test data and reports
- Experience with requirements engineering, allocation and traceability, preferably using DOORS
- Knowledge of space and Ground Segment engineering processes and software lifecycles, ideally ECSS
- Knowledge of CCSDS / CFDP
- Experience with interface management and ICDs
- Experience with formal testing such as FAT, OSAT, TRR and TRB
- Experience with VCDs and verification-control processes
- Strong technical documentation, analytical and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CRISTAL, CIMR or another Earth Observation mission
- Experience with Payload Data Processing and/or Product Generation Functions
- Experience with L0/L1/L2 processing chains
- DOORS / VERDI experience
- Python and/or Bash
- Automated testing and CI/CD
- SysML / Enterprise Architect
- Jira/Xray
- Experience with operational Ground Segment environments
- Experience with CCSDS/NetCDF test data
- Knowledge of Linux, virtualisation, containerisation or other Ground Segment technologies
