Job Summary
Ramp Agent responsibilities include guiding inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate, loading/unloading baggage, cargo, and mail, safeguarding baggage from weather and tampering, cleaning aircraft cabins between flights, and operating/maintaining ground-support equipment. The role requires following safety procedures, completing paperwork in company systems, and being prepared to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge/skills include effective communication, basic math for weight calculations, computer use for cargo tracking, problem-solving, and time management. Qualifications emphasize being 18+, having a high school diploma or GED (or work-equivalent), a valid driver’s license with a clean record, US/Canada work authorization, and ramp/SIDA training; preferred experience is 1+ year. Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001
- Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
- If required by customer or role access, be able to secure a Customs Seal through the respective governing agency
