Job Summary
Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls and maintains AGE support equipment used in direct support of aircraft and supervises support equipment maintenance activities. Advises on technical problems of repair, maintenance and modification; determines proper maintenance and repair procedures; diagnoses recurring malfunctions and recommends corrective actions; determines substitutions of parts; recommends revised policies or work methods; utilizes test sets to verify operation. Also supervises maintenance personnel, plans and schedules work, orients and trains staff, and develops training materials (JPGs) to ensure proficiency. Performs diagnostics and repairs on equipment including compressors, hydraulic/pneumatic sets, GPU systems, engines, and related components; conducts performance checks, adjustments, and acceptance testing; enforces compliance with directives and standards; supports on-the-job training and OJT program development. Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of electricity, electronics, heating, refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics, gasoline and internal combustion engines and small gas turbines
- Experience: 5-8 years in the career field
- Training: basic support equipment maintenance course mandatory
- Education: USAF/RSAF or equivalent technical training courses
- Color vision required
