Ground Instructor

Job Summary
Plan and schedule all ground instruction activities, including recurrent ground school and basic indoctrination. Develop printed and electronic courseware, revise training documents, and teach new curricula to meet changing needs. Ensure all training meets regulatory compliance standards, document processes per the PSA Training Manual, and resolve student issues regarding logistics and behavior. Monitor student progress, provide counseling when needed, and make final performance determinations for simulator training recommendations. Maintain operational effectiveness of IPTs, FTDs, iPads, and VSIM while managing online tests and distance learning modules. Coordinate with payroll for completion standards and verify new hire pilot time verifications and check-ride paperwork.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience as a flight instructor-simulator and/or airplane
- Ability to speak/read/write in English
- Must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to lift weight up to 25 lbs
- Must pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- PSA pilot experience
- Associates or Bachelor's degree
- PSA dispatcher experience
- Adult learning classroom instructor experience
