Ground Handler - Full time / Part time - Warehouse/Ramp

Job Summary
Safe and timely processing of cargo, aircraft loading/offloading and warehousing within prescribed parameters. Loading/unloading of aircraft and trucks; operating ground support equipment; lifting packages up to 60lbs; sorting packages by destination; communicating counts and package information to Lead Hands and Supervisors; handling customer packages with care; adhering to safety and security protocols; performing housekeeping; handling Dangerous Goods; meeting time-sensitive deadlines as part of a team; completing training modules (WHMIS, SMS, Dangerous Goods, Hazard Prevention); working outside in all weather; operating around aircraft daily; additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent experience
- Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence or equivalent
- Ability to obtain a RAIC pass (Transport Canada Security Clearance)
- Ability to lift to 60lbs repeatedly
- Ability to work within a “team first” environment, and complete common goals within time sensitive deadlines
- Excellent punctuality and attendance habits
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to fast changing customer requirements
- Willingness to take direction with a keen interest in further development within the Vancouver operation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible to work shift work, weekends and stat holidays
- Be willing to be subject to a background check; clearance is required
- Be willing to work outside
