Job Summary
Assist Linemen with loading, unloading, organizing, and preparing tools, materials, and equipment at job sites. Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, tamping, cutting brush, cleaning trucks, and moving materials as directed. Support traffic control and maintain safe work zone operations while operating or assisting with company vehicles and equipment when required. Maintain awareness of unsafe conditions and take appropriate corrective actions. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations, while lifting materials weighing 40–90 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- OSHA 10 certification
- Ability to take direction and follow instructions from supervisors
- Strong teamwork and communication skills using verbal, radio, and hand signals
- Ability to identify unsafe conditions and follow safety procedures
- Self-motivated with strong attendance and punctuality
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift heavy materials
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 40–90 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb ladders for extended periods
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
- Must be able to safely work around heavy equipment and wear all required PPE
- Conditions to hiring may include but are not necessarily limited to background checks and drug testing
Desired Qualifications
- Class A preferred
- Entry-level construction or utility field experience
- Experience in outdoor labor-intensive environments
- Previous utility, telecom, or construction field experience
- CDL Class A license
