Job Summary
Lead Systems Engineering Integration and Test activities for a next-generation Digital Aperture RADAR program. Develop and manage SE, integration, and test artifacts (requirements specifications, verification plans and results, MBSE content). Serve as a technical liaison with government customers and coordinate a broad engineering team to meet program commitments across concept through design, integration, test, and delivery. Establish and manage budget baselines as CAM, monitor cost/schedule performance, and drive risk management and corrective actions. Requires deep expertise in radar systems design, MBSE, verification planning, and DoD acquisition lifecycle, with strong communication skills and ability to brief senior government stakeholders. Based in Huntsville, AL area with eligibility to relocate as needed. Holds or ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university
- 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience leading systems engineering teams on complex DoD programs
- Demonstrated experience estimating engineering effort (hours) for Systems Engineering tasks
- Experience with RADAR systems design, including radar signal processing, antenna systems, or sensor integration
- Strong understanding of the Systems Engineering V-Model and DoD acquisition lifecycle
- Experience in deriving requirements for complex electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies
- Experience with requirements management tools
- Experience creating verification and test plans and coordinating system integration and test activities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including briefing senior government customers
- Experience collaborating within a team and leading technical design reviews
- Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area
- Possess a secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
