Job Summary
Lead electrical engineering for site emplacement of a new digitized radar system; serve as the primary electrical engineering point of contact with frequent site travel; act as site technical lead for engineering execution, system performance, and requirements compliance; review and interpret engineering drawings, site layouts, and electrical schematics for accurate implementation across all project phases; collaborate with design, analysis, and fabrication teams to resolve electrical challenges and optimize installation; manage and document electrical site survey data, including measurements, as-built conditions, and equipment inventories; provide guidance on electrical modifications, upgrades, and retrofits for site readiness and system compatibility; track project progress and coordinate electrical resources to meet milestones for decommissioning legacy systems, installing temporary solutions to maintain mission readiness, and final system emplacement; travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- BS + 12 years progressive engineering experience, or MS + 10 years
- Strong technical judgment and ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with formal design reviews (PDR/CDR), configuration management, and risk management
- Basic understanding of radar systems and signal processing
- Active DoD security clearance (or eligibility to obtain)
- Willing to travel frequently
