Job Summary
Lead grooming salon operations at Petco, manage grooming team from entry-level to professional staff, deliver expert grooming services to pets, recruit, train and supervise the team, create and manage grooming schedules, monitor salon performance metrics, collaborate with store management to drive growth, provide exceptional customer service to pet parents, educate owners on grooming maintenance, and ensure safety, hygiene, and adherence to breed standards in all grooming activities.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of professional grooming experience
- leadership skills and 1-2 years experience in salon management (preferred)
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- expert knowledge of dog breeds and grooming standards
- strong communication skills
- ability to train and develop staff
- ability to manage schedules and inventory
- ability to ensure safety and sanitation in grooming area
