Job Summary
Grooming Salon Leader at Petco responsible for leading salon operations and grooming team while delivering expert grooming services to pets. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day grooming operations, recruiting/hiring/training and supervising staff, creating efficient grooming schedules, monitoring revenue and customer satisfaction, collaborating with store management to meet sales targets, and performing professional grooming tasks (bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, gland cleaning) per breed standards. Candidates should have 2+ years of professional grooming experience (or a technical grooming program), strong leadership abilities, and 1-2 years of salon-management experience; must be available full-time (including weekends/evenings) per Petco grooming schedule. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and pet welfare, and involves mentoring and developing both entry-level and experienced groomers in a dynamic Petco environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years as a professional groomer or completion of a technical grooming training program
- Strong leadership skills with desire to lead, train, and develop people
- 1-2 years of salon management or related field preferred
