Job Summary
Lead grooming salon operations and salon team members at Petco, delivering expert grooming services (bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, gland cleaning) while driving customer satisfaction, salon productivity, and growth. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day salon operations, recruiting/hiring/training and supervising staff, creating efficient grooming schedules, monitoring performance metrics and revenue, collaborating with store management to achieve targets, maintaining safety and quality standards, and providing coaching and development for both entry-level and seasoned groomers.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience as a professional groomer
- 1-2 years previous salon management experience (preferred)
- High-school diploma or GED preferred, not required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Expert knowledge of dog breeds and grooming standards
- Ability to work full-time (minimum 35 hours/week) including weekends/evenings/holidays
