Job Summary
Bathe, shampoo, and dry dogs according to breed standards and client specifications while brushing, detangling, trimming nails, and cleaning ears. Handle animals safely using restraint techniques to ensure comfort during grooming procedures and assist with intricate tasks. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area, equipment, and kennel spaces while communicating clearly with team members and clients. Work in a busy, fast-paced environment requiring physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. Prioritize pet safety and well-being throughout every shift.
Required Qualifications
- Must genuinely enjoy working with dogs
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Familiarity with animal care practices, including handling and restraint techniques
- Skill in interacting with dogs of all temperaments in a calm, gentle manner
- Comfortable with bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
- Excellent verbal communication
- Ability to follow instructions precisely
- Compassionate, attentive, and focused on safely caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Comfortable being around dogs and cats
