Job Summary
As a Petco Groomer/Pet Stylist, perform expert-level professional grooming services for pets, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning, while prioritizing pet safety and comfort. Provide high-quality customer service, educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care, operate grooming instruments (clippers, blades, shears, brushes, dryers), maintain a clean and sanitary salon, and support grooming team members. Requires attention to breed standards, adherence to company policies, and ability to work with pets of various sizes and temperaments; weekend, evening, and holiday availability may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required
- Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program
