Job Summary
Pet Stylist at Petco provides expert-level grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning while prioritizing pet safety and well-being. Responsibilities include meeting breed standards, maintaining a clean grooming area, educating pet parents on at-home care, adhering to Petco policies, and supporting grooming team leadership as needed. Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays per schedule. Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program
- High-school diploma or GED preferred
- Latitude for independent judgement and problem solving in grooming situations
- Strong attention to detail in grooming quality and safety
- Excellent communication with pet parents and team members
