Job Summary
Petco Groomer who provides expert-level professional grooming services (bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning) with priority on pet safety and client satisfaction. Role involves educating pet parents on grooming maintenance, maintaining a clean and sanitary grooming area, operating and maintaining grooming instruments (clippers, blades, shears, brushes, dryers), adapting services to breed standards, and supporting/ supervising entry-level trainees when needed. Opportunity for career development within the grooming salon, including leadership and mentoring pathways. Requires ability to work weekends/evenings/holidays as needed; supervision under Grooming Salon Leader when necessary; strong communication with pet parents and the grooming team.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program
- High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required
