Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and condition pets while styling them according to owners' instructions or breed standards. Ensure the wellness and safety of all furry patrons during grooming services. Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by recommending products and services that keep their pets healthy and happy. Perform routine cleaning to maintain a fun and inviting environment. Assist store team members during grooming downtime and engage in community outreach to attract new neighbors. Complete Safety Training certification and continue developing grooming techniques.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1-year or more of grooming experience
- formal training certification
- experience under an established certified groomer
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers/blades/scissors/etc.)
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- pass the drug screening (in applicable states)
- be 18 years or older
- Safety Training certification
