Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and condition pets while styling them per owner instructions or breed standards, ensuring the wellness and safety of every furry patron. Deliver exceptional neighborly service by engaging with customers, recommending products for pet health, and participating in community outreach to attract new neighbors. Perform routine cleaning to maintain a fun environment and assist store team members during downtime. Complete safety training certification and continue developing grooming techniques. This role offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus for new hires with one year of experience, commission-based pay with a guaranteed minimum, and requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1-year or more of grooming experience
- Formal training certification
- Experience under an established certified groomer
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers/blades/scissors/etc.)
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- Pass the drug screening (in applicable states)
- Be 18 years or older
- Successfully completing Safety Training certification
Desired Qualifications
