Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and condition pets while styling them according to breed standards or owner instructions. Ensure the wellness and safety of all furry patrons during grooming services. Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that keep pets healthy and happy. Perform routine cleaning to maintain the grooming environment and assist store team members during downtime. Complete Safety Training certification and continue developing grooming techniques. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays with flexibility. This commission-based role offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus for new hires with one year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1-year or more of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers/blades/scissors/etc.)
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- Candidates must pass the drug screening (in applicable states)
- Candidates must be 18 years or older
