Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and condition pets while styling them per owner instructions or breed standards. Ensure the wellness and safety of all furry patrons during grooming services. Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services. Perform routine cleaning to maintain the grooming environment and assist store team members during downtime. Engage with neighbors and participate in community outreach to attract new customers. Complete Safety Training certification and continue developing grooming techniques.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1-year or more of grooming experience
- formal training certification
- experience under an established certified groomer
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers/blades/scissors/etc.)
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- pass the drug screening (in applicable states)
- be 18 years or older
- Safety Training certification
