Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and condition pets while styling them according to breed standards or owner instructions, ensuring the wellness and safety of all furry patrons. Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products that keep their pets healthy and happy. Perform routine cleaning to maintain a fun environment and assist store team members during grooming downtime. Engage with neighbors and smile in the face of puppy breath while completing safety training certification. This commission-based role offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus for new hires with one year of experience, includes paid time off, and provides medical, dental, and vision plans for full-time staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1-year or more of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers/blades/scissors/etc.)
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- Candidates must pass the drug screening (in applicable states)
- Candidates must be 18 years or older
