Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and condition pets while styling them per owner instructions or breed standards, ensuring the wellness and safety of every furry patron. Deliver exceptional service by developing long-term relationships with pet parents through product recommendations and community outreach to attract new neighbors. Maintain a clean, inviting grooming environment through routine cleaning and assist store team members during downtime. Complete Safety Training certification and continue developing grooming techniques. This role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a guaranteed minimum hourly wage and commission-based pay.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1-year or more of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers/blades/scissors/etc.)
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- Candidates must pass the drug screening (in applicable states)
- Candidates must be 18 years or older
