Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and condition pets while styling them per owner instructions or breed standards, always prioritizing animal wellness and safety. Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products that keep their pets healthy and happy. Perform routine cleaning to maintain a fun environment and assist store team members during grooming downtime. Engage with neighbors to build community outreach and attract new customers. Complete required safety training certification and continue developing grooming techniques.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1-year or more of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers/blades/scissors/etc.)
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- Candidates must pass the drug screening (in applicable states)
- Candidates must be 18 years or older
