Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and condition pets while styling them per owner instructions or breed standards, ensuring the wellness and safety of all furry patrons. Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that keep their pets healthy and happy. Perform routine cleaning to maintain a fun environment and assist store team members during grooming downtime. Deliver community outreach to attract new neighbors into the store. This commission-based role offers a guaranteed minimum pay and includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus for new hires with one year of experience. Candidates must complete Safety Training certification and possess their own grooming equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1-year or more of grooming experience
- formal training certification
- experience under an established certified groomer
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers/blades/scissors/etc.)
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- pass the drug screening (in applicable states)
- be 18 years or older
- Safety Training certification
