Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and condition pets while styling them per owner instructions or breed standards, always prioritizing their wellness and safety. Deliver exceptional neighborly service by engaging with customers, recommending products for pet health, and performing routine cleaning to maintain a fun environment. Assist store team members during downtime and participate in community outreach to attract new neighbors. Complete safety training certification and continue developing grooming techniques. This commission-based role offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus for new hires with one year of experience, includes paid time off, and provides medical, dental, and vision plans for full-time employees.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1-year or more of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers/blades/scissors/etc.)
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- Candidates must pass the drug screening (in applicable states)
- Candidates must be 18 years or older
