Job Summary
Transform furry friends with breed-standard grooming services while prioritizing the safety and well-being of every pet. Build lasting relationships with pet parents through friendly engagement and pet care education, then recommend retail products to enhance your services. Maintain a clean, organized grooming area and collaborate with store staff while attending meetings and trainings as needed. This variable-hour position requires flexibility for before, after, and weekend shifts, including occasional travel to other stores. We offer a 45% commission potential, paid onboarding, and comprehensive benefits including dental, health, vision, and 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- A passionate and experienced groomer with formal training and a proven track record.
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys building relationships with pet parents.
- Positive, helpful, customer-centric attitude
- Inquisitiveness and desire to learn
- Promotes a positive team environment by sharing knowledge and educating others in the team. Engages with team in a positive, professional, and supportive manner
- Highly accountable and has integrity
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and having basic knowledge of MS Office products
- Formal grooming/safety training and a proven track record of success
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of pet grooming experience
- This is a variable-hour position; days and hours of work will vary. This position requires the flexibility to work within our normal store operating hours, including before and/or after hours and weekends. Overtime may be required at times.
- Occasional travel to other stores, meetings, and events, at times before or after hours, may be required.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move items and/or pets up to and over 45 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
