Job Summary
Drive a state-of-the-art mobile grooming van in the Salt Lake City area to provide professional grooming services (bathing, brushing, trimming, styling) for dogs and cats in clients' homes. Maintain pet safety and comfort with gentle handling and positive reinforcement, assess coat/skin health, educate owners on grooming techniques and home care, and manage scheduling and van cleanliness. Requires valid driver's license and ability to lift heavy dogs; certification is desirable. Strong customer service, time management, and independent work ethic essential; weekend/holiday availability may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a professional pet groomer with understanding of grooming techniques, breed-specific cuts, and coat types
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (drive grooming van safely)
- Ability to work independently and manage time to meet appointment schedules
- Excellent professional communication and interpersonal skills for customer service
- Certification from a reputable grooming school or similar grooming qualification is highly desirable
- Ability to lift 75-100 lbs and handle heavy dogs
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
