Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and trim nails while ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons. Deliver neighborly service by understanding customer needs and recommending products that keep pets healthy and happy. Learn grooming skills through the online distance program and Paragon School of Training, utilizing tools and equipment to meet breed standards. Perform routine cleaning to maintain a fun environment and assist store team members during downtime. Complete safety training certification and pass a validated selection test. Candidates must be at least 18, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexible with evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to review videos and take tests online
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- Candidates must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and validated selection test and be at least 18 years old
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in retail or other industry working with pets, but not required
