Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and trim nails while ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons at Pet Supplies Plus. Delight neighbors and pets with grooming services, including brushing, bathing, and nail trimming, while performing routine cleaning to keep the environment inviting. Learn and demonstrate skills necessary to become a groomer through the online distance program and Paragon School of Pet Grooming. Assist store team members during grooming downtime and successfully complete Safety Training certification. Develop long-term relationships by understanding customer needs and recommending products for pet health.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to review videos and take tests online
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must pass a drug screening (in applicable states)
- Must pass a validated selection test
- Must be at least 18 years old
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in retail or other industry working with pets
