Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and trim nails while ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons. Deliver grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming to delight neighbors and pets. Learn and demonstrate skills necessary to become a groomer through an online distance program, including bathing and styling dogs to breed standards. Perform routine cleaning to keep the environment fun and inviting, and assist store team members during downtime. Complete safety training certification and review videos and take tests online. Maintain relationships with neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays with flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- Candidates must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and validated selection test and be at least 18 years old
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in retail or other industry working with pets, but not required
