Job Summary
Brush, bathe, and trim nails while ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons. Learn grooming skills through online distance programs and Paragon School training, utilizing tools to brush, style dogs to breed standards, and assist store team members during downtime. Perform routine cleaning to maintain a fun environment and develop relationships with neighbors by recommending healthy products. Complete safety training certification and pass a validated selection test. Requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, plus the ability to lift pets up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to review videos and take tests online
- Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays
- Candidates must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and validated selection test and be at least 18 years old
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in retail or other industry working with pets, but not required
