Job Summary
Oversee the direction and control of all personnel, assets and customers assigned to the on-site full service facility reporting to the VP Refrigerated Services. Directly hire and train department personnel; lead and motivate direct reports; evaluate driver satisfaction and retention; monitor fleet productivity and equipment utilization; coordinate with DC Management and Shop departments; implement changes to improve productivity and retirement/turnover metrics; manage department costs and fuel expenses to maximize profitability; supervise facility maintenance, on-site fueling and wash bay activities; develop and maintain an effective yard management system with customers; manage relationships with customers and ensure satisfaction; uphold company values and policies; provide coaching and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years progressive upper-management experience OR previous management experience with two (2) years experience in Swift Driver Management, Planning or CSR position required
- The Driver Management/Planner/CSR experience may be substituted with a minimum of two (2) years of Swift Driver experience in conjunction with a minimum of two (2) years of prior management experience
- Transportation experience preferred
- Bachelors in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
