Job Summary
Store Manager at Gordon Food Service responsible for creating outstanding shopping environments, overseeing promotions and merchandising, interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training new associates, coaching for performance, scheduling to meet weekly labor targets, and managing external order programs (e-comm/express orders). Also focuses on customer experience, product selection needs, and opportunities for improvement, with emphasis on leadership, accountability, and community stewardship.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / Equivalent (required)
- Bachelor's in Business or related field (preferred)
- 3+ years of grocery or retail management experience
- Hands-on leadership experience in grocery retail (e.g. Produce, Deli/Bakery, or Meat/Seafood) is highly preferred
- Ability to unload merchandise from delivery trucks, organize merchandise, and transfer merchandise from stockroom to store
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record per policy
