Job Summary
Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain neat, safe work areas while ensuring sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom. Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery, communicate temperature problems for dairy and frozen foods, and perform front-end duties to uphold the "no noticeable wait" standard. Order product for aisles as assigned and minimize damage through proper inventory control and product handling. Provide polite interactions with guests and co-workers while performing all other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. constantly 60 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to read and understand information and direction
- Knowledge of grocery operations
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
- Effective communication and guest service skills
- Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate pallet jack for extended periods of time
