Job Summary
Stock shelves fully and face items; rotate older stock to front and remove out-of-date or low-quality items; label items with price tags and codes; report discrepancies to buyers; maintain stocking lists and assist with inventories; organize back stock and process shrink items. Provide prompt, friendly customer service, assist with product questions, suggest purchases, and help with special orders. Prepare storage areas for incoming deliveries, check quantities and damage, and sign for deliveries. Participate in recycling/reusables, cleaning, and maintenance of the stocking area; follow safety practices and participate in department/store meetings. Able to work with others, follow instructions, and maintain regular attendance. Requires basic reading/writing skills, and the physical ability to lift and move items in a grocery environment; 18+ years old.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or GED preferred, but not required
- Experience in customer service preferred
- Ability to follow instructions
- Regular, predictable attendance
- Ability to work closely with others
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift 25-35 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds occasionally
