Job Summary
As a Grocery Stock Clerk, you will assist in unloading merchandise, transport stock to storage areas, and maintain store shelves according to tag allocations. Your responsibilities include pricing items accurately, building store displays, rotating perishable merchandise, controlling damaged goods, and presenting your assigned section properly prior to the end of your scheduled shift. The role requires the ability to lift heavy items, a keen attention to inventory maintenance, and strong adherence to company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise
- Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise
- Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time
- Ability to retrieve and place merchandise on the top racks
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
