Job Summary
As a Grocery Stock Clerk, responsibilities include maintaining pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in the grocery department. Key functions involve unloading merchandise, transporting stock to storage areas, maintaining fully stocked shelves, assisting with building store displays, managing perishable goods, controlling damaged items, and presenting assigned sections appropriately. The role requires effective customer interaction and adherence to company policies, along with physical abilities to lift merchandise and retrieve items from high storage areas.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.
- Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
- Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
- Must have the ability to retrieve and place merchandise on the top racks in the grocery aisles for proper storage.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
