Job Summary
The Grocery Stock Clerk is responsible for maintaining pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in the grocery department. Duties include unloading merchandise, transporting stock, pricing items, keeping shelves stocked, constructing displays, rotating perishable goods, managing damaged items, and greeting customers. This role requires the ability to read and write, lift heavy merchandise, and follow both written and verbal instructions. There is a focus on teamwork and adherence to company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product
- Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas
- Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time
- Must have the ability to retrieve and place merchandise on the top racks in the grocery aisles for proper storage
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
