Job Summary
Lead the front-end team by coaching checkout staff, delegating tasks based on store flow, and stepping in as the primary leader when the manager is absent. Oversee register operations to ensure accurate transactions, handle payments and refunds, and monitor workflow to meet sales, labor, and service goals. Deliver prompt customer service, resolve challenging situations professionally, and support process improvements within the fast-paced grocery environment. Work full-time (35+ hours/week) with flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, performing duties that require standing, walking, and lifting up to 50lbs in a community-focused co-op setting.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems
- Strong customer service skills
- Dependability, integrity, and accountability
- Ability to work 35+ hours per week
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
