Job Summary
Stock shelves, clean floors and surfaces, and answer customer questions about food products while maintaining a clean work environment and organized displays. Greet customers, direct them to items, and provide product information. Control inventory by informing procurement managers of low stock levels and discard expired items according to policy. Perform stocking duties such as lifting, rotating products, ordering, blocking, dusting, and facing. Process customer orders, oversee timely deliveries, and manage cash registers. Receive grocery item deliveries to confirm order and invoice accuracy. Restock bags, packaging, and utensils throughout the shift. Complete opening, closing, and side work duties per checklists. Assist guests with finding products, pack orders for pickup and delivery, and ring through all orders in the POS system. Train as a Barista and ensure proper handling of ready-to-eat food products. Clean counters, attend to spills, and balance the cash drawer.
Required Qualifications
- Previous retail experience
- Complete CA Food Handler's Certification
- Must be able to follow all safety, health, and sanitation procedures
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a strong work ethic, trust, integrity, and accountability
- Able to drive a motor vehicle
- Ability to: regularly lift, carry, and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to: frequently lift, carry and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Ability to: occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
- Ability to: Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, grasping, pinching, smelling, reaching/lifting above shoulders in a repetitive manner
- Ability to: use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to: reach with hands and arms
- Ability to: talk and hear
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to: walk up and down stairs as necessary
