Job Summary
Manage daily store operations by directing stock crews, scheduling department employees, and closing the store four to five nights per week. Oversee grocery, frozen, and dairy ordering while maintaining well-stocked shelves and clean backroom areas. Train and develop staff to ensure a qualified workforce, resolve conflicts, and uphold ethical relationships with vendors and suppliers. Assume full store leadership duties when the Store Director or Assistant Store Director are absent. Maintain compliance with all government regulations, company policies, and dress codes. Requires ability to lift 60 lb. boxes, stand for extended periods, and work in environments that may become slippery.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 60 lb. boxes on occasion and/or exert 25-60 lbs. of force frequently and/or 10/20 lbs. of force constantly while moving and handling materials and products.
- Must have dexterous use of both hands.
- Must be able to stand and move about to various workstations.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items so that objects move toward areas of use.
- Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments utilized in the preparation of food items and/or removing product from boxes.
- Good, corrected vision.
- Good, corrected hearing.
- Ability to stoop.
- Ability to kneel.
- Ability to stand.
- Ability to reach.
- Ability to push.
- Ability to pull.
- Ability to work on floors that sometimes become slippery.
