Job Summary
Leader responsible for achieving department sales and profits in the grocery department through effective people leadership, inventory control, and adherence to food safety standards. Oversees interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, scheduling, and problem resolution; drives inventory accuracy, stock rotation, quality control, and in-store merchandising. Ensures product availability, displays, and customer service excellence while maintaining compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Requires strong knowledge of grocery operations, scheduling software, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED required
- two or more years of related experience
- Food Handler certification required
- Manager Food Safety certification required
- AML certification required
- Fuel Operator C training required
- HIPAA certification required
- TABC/LACT/AATC certification required where applicable
- 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to safely operate and maintain department equipment
