Job Summary
Grocery Manager leads guest-relations efforts and oversees the grocery, frozen, and dairy departments, assuming store responsibility in the absence of Store Directors. Responsible for ensuring safe, legal, profitable operations; coordinating department activities; interviewing, training and evaluating department team members; managing stock, displays, seasonal purchases, and ad/buy-ins; coordinating with DSD partners; maintaining backrooms, asset control, and department safety standards; and driving exceptional customer service and team performance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of store experience
- Must maintain Certified Food Safety Manager certification
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods (up to 6 hours)
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
