Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of a specific department within a store, ensuring sales and profitability goals are met. Train and develop associates in customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising while maintaining clean, safe environments and proper stock levels. Monitor inventory, coordinate replenishment, manage expenses, and assist in budget preparation. Communicate regularly with store management to align on store-wide objectives and lead diverse teams focused on inclusiveness and retention. Work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, applying leadership skills to improve productivity and engagement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop associates
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Candidates who are 18 years or older are required to complete a criminal background check
