Grocery Clerk - Weekday Mornings

Job Summary
Stock incoming orders, check invoices for accuracy, and maintain date rotation by removing out-of-date product to prevent spoilage. Clean, face, and restock shelves across dairy, meat, and frozen cases while greeting and assisting customers in a friendly, courteous manner. Communicate short dates and waste to department buyers and the manager. Perform additional duties as required, including operating pallet jacks and stepladders. Work in extreme temperatures ranging below freezing to above 90 degrees, lifting up to 50 lbs frequently. No educational requirements; basic knowledge of natural and organic products is a plus. Concord Food Co-op is a natural foods grocery store, bakery, and café in New Hampshire.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to take direction and work independently with little to no supervision at times
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate with teammates and customers
- Ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail, and good organizational skills
- Ability to read and understand invoices and product tags and learn established organizational systems
- Standing, bending, walking, reaching, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, and fine motor skills
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, including periods below freezing and above 90 degrees
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters, stepladders, and pallet jacks
